Millbridge Court Wedding Photography
Stephanie and Matt’s wedding was my first at the incredible Millbridge Court in Frensham, a picturesque and quintessentially English village in the Surrey Hills. I was really excited to photograph this lovely couple at such a unique venue.
Millbridge Court is a pretty traditional country house from the outside, once you step inside it’s not what you’d expect, it is modern, bright, airy, and extremely spacious, while remaining homely cosy and comfortable. This venue is surrounded by perfectly maintained gardens, set within the dramatic Surrey Hills there are wonderful views of luscious green fields and wild flower meadows.
“Charlotte was everything we could have asked of a photographer on our wedding day. She made us feel totally at ease in front of the camera, knowing we aren’t fans of being the centre of attention! Everything was so natural, and her kind nature came across throughout the entire day. Our photos are absolutely stunning, and we will be using her again in the future when we need a professional photographer!”

Getting Ready at Millbridge Court
It was a beautiful sunny Autumn day at Millbridge Court, the morning began with Steph and Matt getting ready with their bridesmaids, groomsmen and family. Both parties are able to get ready at the venue in separate quarters.
For the bride, her bridal party and her team of hair and makeup artists, there is a perfectly designed spacious, modern Loft with plenty of natural light filling the room. There are five makeup stations complete with Hollywood mirrors, and big comfortable chairs, as well as a luxurious bathroom, and a large private changing area. Every small detail was thought of including beautiful flowers, colourful fruit, a basket of freshly baked croissants, and plenty of champagne.
I was spoilt for choice on things to photograph while Steph and her bridesmaids had their hair done by Unique Hair by Vicki, and makeup by Emily Bray Makeup.
I photographed Steph’s wedding dress reveal firstly with her bridesmaids, then with her father who was overcome with emotion, seeing his daughter looking stunning wearing her spectacular wedding dress by Enzoani from Helena Fortley which looked absolutely incredible on her.
For the groom and his groomsmen Millbridge Court provides a separate area for getting ready. The Lodge has a bedroom on the ground floor with an en-suite bathroom, upstairs is a stylish den with leather sofas and a fully stocked bar, which comes complete with beers and snacks for the boys. The Lodge is a good distance away from the brides quarters, making sure that they don’t see each other before their wedding ceremony.

Getting Married in Surrey
Steph and Matt married in The Ceremony Hall at Millbridge Court, which is a beautiful modern room with oak beams, high vaulted ceilings and a dramatic floor to ceiling window looking out onto the perfectly manicured gardens.
Steph and her bridesmaids walked down the aisle to music by Laura’s Paper Heart female acoustic singer and guitarist.
The wedding ceremony was conducted by award winning independent wedding celebrant Nikki Wood from Perfect Words Ceremonies
The ceremony was conducted beautifully by Nikki, with emotional personalised vows that Steph and Matt read to each other. The couple exchanged wedding rings, and had their first kiss as husband and wife.
After signing the register, the newlyweds walked back up the aisle together as Mr & Mrs, as the music played, the guests gave huge cheers and applause.

THE CHAMPAGNE RECEPTION
After the wedding ceremony, Steph, Matt and their guests gathered outside into the gardens for the champagne reception, which started with the confetti line up by The Arbour. After the newlyweds took a moment to enjoy some champagne and canapés with their guests, it was then time for me to photograph the formal group photographs and couple portraits around the beautiful grounds of Millbridge Court.

THE EVENING RECEPTION
The newlyweds were announced into the room for their wedding breakfast as the new Mr & Mrs …. their guested cheered them in, swinging their napkins in the air as the music played, the energy of the room was fantastic!
There were emotional speeches throughout the wedding breakfast, which had everyone crying tears of joy and laughter.
Steph and Matt cut their sensational wedding cake which was created by the super talented Hester Bakes who was also one of Steph’s bridesmaids.
The couple had their first dance together as their loved ones watched on, but Steph and Matt only had eyes for each other. The newlyweds then took a moment together outside to cool off, as it started to rain for the first time all day, they both embraced it as they stood underneath an umbrella holding each other.
