A few years ago, I was photographing one of my beautiful brides.

She was having her makeup done before the ceremony. Aware of the camera, a little nervous, a little unsure.

“No one can ever get a good picture of me”, she said.

So I did what I always do.

I gave her space to relax, and soften. To shake off the nerves, and be the person she was at home. I encouraged her gently; found gorgeous light, and flattering angles. Caught her when she was smiling, unguarded, and lit-up with love.

A few weeks later, I received a call from her to say she was completely overjoyed with her gallery, and cried with happiness when she received it.

And as your wedding photographer, that’s what I’ll give you –a chance to be you. To see yourself the way they see you.
