LIVING IN SURREY, AND PHOTOGRAPHING SURREY WEDDINGS
I love photographing weddings in Surrey, with its quintessential English villages, rolling Surrey Hills, areas of outstanding natural beauty, and even vineyards, it’s hard not to fall in love with this beautiful county. As well as being a Surrey wedding photographer, I also love photographing wedding’s in the surrounding Home Counties.
I moved to Surrey 14 years ago and haven’t looked back, after living in the city all my life I thought I’d miss the fast paced lifestyle, but now I have nature on my doorstep, and the sound of owls outside my window at night, instead of traffic.
One of my favourite things to do in Surrey is to go for long walks with my family and dogs along the River Mole and Cobham Mill, followed by a Sunday roast at my favourite local pub – The Old Plough Cobham. I’m also lucky enough to have Painshill Park, the National Trust’s Claremont Garden’s, and RHS Garden Wisley which are just a stones throw from where I live.
Being a self confessed foodie, and a lover of shopping, I’m spoilt for choice with places to go with the wonderful selection of restaurants and boutiques on my local High Street in Cobham which include, The Ivy Cobham Brasserie, which is perfect for special occasions, Grappelli for outstanding Italian food in sumptuous surroundings, and Fego which is great for alfresco dog friendly brunches in the sunshine.
There are so many wonderful places to visit in and around Surrey which include historic homes such as Loseley Park, which is also used for weddings. I had the pleasure of photographing there recently.
Surrey is steeped in so much fascinating history with its many incredible castles and palaces – Guildford Castle, Farnham Castle, and Hampton Court Palace, just to name a few.
Being a wedding photographer in Surrey means that I get to photograph at so many incredible venues, ranging from magnificent stately homes, to rustic barns and historic buildings just to name a few. Some of my favourite wedding venues include Beaverbrook, Great Fosters, and Wotton House.
Wherever you choose to have your special day, I will be there to capture all of the real magical moments of you and your loved ones for you to cherish and treasured forever.
